Stan Elsworth BSc

I am a 28 year old from Knaresborough, North Yorkshire and I have always had a passion for numbers. During the summer of 2019 I moved home from Manchester where I graduated from studying Mathematics at University. Since gaining my qualification I have been eager to use my skillset to help other students who may require assistance with their learning. I have found great satisfaction in helping students towards their goals and increasing their confidence with Maths and other subjects including English and Sciences. I believe every pupil is unique and deserves the special attention and aid to achieve their own potential.
Our Journey
In March of 2021, I created Elsworth Tuition whilst working full time in a local farm shop in Skipton. The idea was to use my expertise to provide personal and private tuition for struggling students within the area. I began with one hour per week, with my very first student, Aribah, who was preparing for the 11+ entrance exam. Although the beginning was gradual, we slowly but surely became a trusted name in local tuition. By 2024 we were named ‘Most dedicated one-to-one tuition provider’ by Wealth and Finance. Fast forward to today, in 2026, Elsworth Tuition has delivered over 3000 lessons and assisted over 100 students.

Great Tutor
We were recommended Stan for Maths tuition by a friend. Our daughter had to resit maths gcse and support from college was appalling, we even had to complain due to remarks made by a college tutor about ability.
So finding Stan was an absolute blessing. Not only did he provide the quality support she needed he also helped her to believe in herself and her knowledge. He talked to her about how to tackle the exams and what to do if nerves kicked in. Every week our daughter came away from her lessons more confident and less worried about the resit.
